Peering through the lenses of history, the Mexican holds an inherent view of fear and apprehension of the world around them. Ingrained into them through years of history and the repetitions of hostility presented to them, shields have manifested unto them in the form of masks; of suspicion and distrust, silence and resignation, internal and external. Herein, they find a haven for their own feelings, allowing for their true expressions to manifest without exposure. Battling an internal struggle of solidarity and adaptation, only peering through the soulless eye holes may be find the true soul of the mask.
